History of PYT

John Handyside, general manager of the Lorain Palace Theater, said the Palace Youth Theater began almost 30 years ago. ''It started in 1977, back when we started the Lorain Palace Civic Center, to bring arts and culture to the city of Lorain. At that time, there wasn't anything like that around in the city,'' said Handyside. (Lorain Morning Journal, 2006)

Below is the list of shows that the Lorain Palace Youth Theater has performed.

Our goal

PYT strives to maintain a program that inspires, motivates and engages children with an interest or passion for theater - both on stage and off.

PYT is not just some camp, workshop, or glorified daycare -- it is an experience.
